Frequency Bands

The RL-328 Series Hand Held Radio Transceivers come in a range of different frequencies. Before purchasing your radio you will need to know what channels, frequencies, and band you will be operating on, as well as any other information, such as CTCSS or DCS Tones on your required channels. If you are unsure then please contact us and we will be pleased to help you.

Please note: You MUST be authorised to use a frequency that you wish to operate on. Failure to comply with this will be breaking the law.
The authority responsible for this is the RSM (Radio Spectrum Management) Authority. For more information on this you can visit their website at www.rsm.govt.nz

If you are operating or planning to operate on the PRS UHF CB band (476 MHz), you may do so on the GURL (General User Radio License) No license fee required. Refer to www.rsm.govt.nz for more information.

The frequency bands available for the Rexon RL328 Series Hand Held Radio Transceivers are as follows:

  • 66-88 MHz
  • 136-174Mhz
  • 400-470Mhz
  • 450-527Mhz
  • 476Mhz PRS CB

Radios operate in Simplex and Duplex (Repeater) Modes

Please note that radios are only available in the bands stated above and are not available as Dual Band/Tri Band i.e. they will not operate as VHF and UHF on the same radio unit.
